~ Faith Working Through Love ~

Vision

Vision Statement

To spread a true longing and desire for God and to encourage each other in the chief purpose of our existence: To glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.
  • 1 Cor. 10:31  So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
  • 2 Cor. 5:14-15  For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.
  • Psalm 37:4  Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Vision Implementation

Fellowship: We will take practical steps to develop an atmosphere where personal, deep, supportive, faith-building relationships are valued and can flourish. We believe that these relationships come primarily through the following:
  • Study of God’s Word in small groups;
  • The service as a body to our community;
  • Spiritual shepherding by Elders and Deaconal care of all people;
  • Strong emphasis on raising children in discipline and biblical soundness;
  • Building strong marriages that model the relationship between Christ and the Church;
  • Building strong and confident singles that seek God first in all that they do;
  • Honoring and caring for the senior members of our church;
  • Encouraging the body to pray corporately and for each other;
  • Encourage each other to personal holiness, godly character, and to be unstained from the world.

God-Centered Worship: Sunday morning worship is a corporate expression of our passion for the supremacy of God. We believe that worship should reflect the diversity of the congregation and should focus on the glory of our Lord and Savior. We believe that this atmosphere comes through the following:
  • An emphasis of both head and heart in worship;
  • A humble willingness to support others whose tastes are different than ours;
  • A biblical, Spirit-anointed, God-exalting, personally helpful preaching;
  • Making prayer a visible component in all of our ministries and worship;
  • Encourage the study of sound biblical theology.

Service: We will take active steps to allow and encourage members to actively serve within the body and to the world. We believe that service is a required element of spiritual maturity.
  • Biblical self-denial as we take thought for the good of others;
  • Mentor future lay and vocational ministers and missionaries;
  • All services be permeated with the Word of God;
  • Encourage each other to fully invest their talents and gifts that have been given from God;
  • Assist and care for the unborn, orphans and children in need of God’s design of a family;
  • Assist and care for widows and single- parent families;
  • Assist and care for those struggling with addictions and its effects.
