Kasey Ketterling - Pastor for Student Ministries
Kasey is the Pastor for Student Ministries at Grace Baptist Church (GBC). He and his wife Suzy lead 412 Youth Ministries. His passion for youth ministry started in 2000 while completing is Master’s Degree at Idaho State University when asked to assist in leading the youth group. Actually, his passion for youth ministry was probably best ignited by his own experiences as a youth. Professing a belief in the saving power of Jesus Christ at a fairly early age, Kasey gained a love for genuine Christian fellowship. Under the guidance of a godly youth leader, Kasey was encouraged to step up and stand out as a Christian youth. When he left for College, it made sense to seek out Christian friends and fellowship and a strong Bible believing Church. Now, as a leader, it is his calling to ignite this same passion and desire in young people as they work through some of the most pivotal years of their lives. “There are so many social opportunities in this day and age, the last thing a young person needs is another one. Rather, it is my desire to offer a ministry to young people that is centralized around studying the Bible, being real as Christians, and refusing to be complacent with this current age that has clearly departed from God, especially among youth.” Kasey met his wife Suzy while in highschool, interestingly it was during a midweek Bible study. They have 4 children and enjoy living in the country outside of Wilder, Idaho. He is a Civil Engineer and works in Payette and Suzy is a stay at home mom. Some of Kasey’s interest include working in his woodshop, cycling, reading the first half of a really good book, and playing guitar. |
